It is the policy of the Toronto Police Services Board that the Chief of Police will:
- Establish procedures and processes regarding arrests that require the compliance of Service members with the legal and constitutional requirements relating to arrests; and
- Ensure that officers, and other members as appropriate, are kept informed of changes in the law relating to arrest.
